   This Spanish expression, meaning "a short course about Christianity" refers to a movement that originated in Spain in the 1940s. The cursillo is an intensive three-day retreat that provides participants with a deeper understanding of Christianity and often results in a conversion experience. Although originating under Catholicauspices, the cursillo movement has spread to many other Christian Churches.
